Senior conference producer

About the company

The Insurance Network is a strategy forum for directors from leading brokers and insurers from the UK insurance sector – mainly GI and Large Commercial / Lloyd’s and London markets. The network meets annually for 4 big conferences and on an ad hoc basis for breakfast briefings. We also run webinars and produce research reports, both with sponsors and independently.

About the role

Primary aims

  • Produce and run 20+ breakfast briefings per year
  • Produce and run webinars
  • Write executive summaries of each breakfast and webinar

 

Reponsibilities

Breakfasts

  • Work with founders and sponsors to define topics and agree audience profiles
  • Speaker acquisition and liason, including briefing calls
  • Write agendas, web pages, invitation copy
  • Work with marketing manager to coordinate invitation process
  • Work with event manager to prepare for each event
  • Where necessary chair / facilitate breakfast briefings
  • Write executive summaries

Webinars

  • Work with founders and sponsors to define topics and agree audience profiles
  • Speaker acquisition and liason, including briefing calls
  • Write agendas, web pages, marketing copy etc
  • Work with marketing manager to coordinate marketing
  • Where necessary chair / facilitate webinars
  • Write executive summaries

Additional editorial work

  • Write up the results of pre-conference questionnaires
  • Write up summaries of conference sessions
  • Social media posts

 

Required skills/experience

Definitely one of:
5+ years’ experience in insurance
OR
5+ years’ experience producing events
Ideally both!

  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Experience producing B2B marketing content – analysis, white papers, research reports etc – and / or experience conducting research at a senior level is highly desirable
  • Ability to be taken seriously by C-level / director-level insurance executives
  • The ability to multi-task and work on more than one event at a time
  • The ability to work independently and hit deadlines without micromanagement – we are looking for someone to take ownership of this very profitable, but time consuming, side of our business

The job is full-time and mainly office-based (Maidstone, Kent), with some travel to and attendance at breakfasts which start at 8am in Central London, so may involve a very early morning, or on occasion an overnight stay.
